God is Good

As we were driving back from Devil's Tower, Debie & I decided to see what was in a little town called Sundance (about an hour from our home base). After having swung through the town which appeared to be closed for Easter, Deb headed toward the highway. A police car headed toward us with its lights flashing. I thought, okay, it could be that Deb doesn't have her seat beat on yet...or it could be that she is driving down the middle lane meant for turning...but I was wrong she was doing 45 in a 30 mile zone. The policeman was polite, he asked if we were from around here. Deb said no and that we were here to see John, did he know John? He nodded a 'yes'. After taking Debie's driver's license to his car he returned and said, "Sometimes God has a strange sense of humor --- the Colorado computer system is down. I'm going to let you go with a warning ...the speed limit..."
